DECEMBER 12 2007, HALIFAX, NS : Paul St.Amand's homage to classic science fiction, Grover's Mill, has been named iklipz Movie of the Week. The short will be promoted on the iklipz main page for the coming week.
Set in a remote radio station in 1937, Grover's Mill pits legendary author H.G. Wells and cocksure impresario Orson Welles against a horde of invading aliens. A black-and-white homage to classic science fiction movies, the film was previously an official selection of the Vancouver Student Film Festival and the YoungCuts Film Festival. In April, St.Amand was awarded the Lenhoff & Lenhoff Award for Best Director by Vancouver Film School for Grover's Mill and his documentary Parallels.
