FEBRUARY 5 2009, LOWER SACKVILLE, NS: Sanchin Films is proud to announce the premiere screening of The Lot, tonight at 9:15 p.m. at Empire Theatres Lower Sackville. There will be an encore screening at 10:00 p.m. Each screening includes the film, a 13-minute outtakes reel, and question-and-answer session with the filmmakers.
The Lot is a 30-minute mockumentary chronicling the misadventures of the Kingfisher Auto sales crew, a gang of miscreant used car salesemen. The raucous comedy short was written by co-stars Chad Lindsay and Karan Sidhu, with contributions by producer/editor Paul St.Amand and director Andrew Bowers. The Lot was produced by Harsh Knuckle Productions in association with Sanchin Films, the production company founded by St.Amand.
Planning is underway for additional screenings of The Lot across Nova Scotia and the Maritimes. The film will make its next appearance in Truro on February 26. Screenings in Halifax, Dartmouth, and Moncton under consideration.
